E-commerce Terms and Conditions for Danhostel Horsens

Sales and Delivery Terms
Online booking is only available for families and groups of fewer than 10 people or a maximum of 4 rooms. Groups of more than 10 people wishing to make a booking should contact us directly. The terms below do NOT apply to group bookings. If a group booking is made online anyway, Danhostel Horsens reserves the right to cancel it at any time.


Payment
The full amount is charged upon booking. All prices stated in Danhostel Horsens' online booking system, as well as elsewhere on the website, are in Danish kroner (DKK) including VAT and all taxes, unless otherwise stated. Payment is made using one of the approved credit/debit cards in the online booking system, including Visa and Mastercard.

If you have booked a Flex price and need to cancel your booking, we will immediately refund the remaining amount to the credit card used for the booking.


Check-in/Check-out
From January 1, 2025, we will exclusively offer self-check-in.

Your room will be available from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Check-out is always by 10:00 AM on the departure date unless you have purchased a late check-out option.

If you have not checked out by the agreed time (10:00 AM or 1:00 PM by arrangement), we reserve the right to charge an amount equivalent to the daily rate for an extra day.


Self Check-in
On your arrival day, a note will be posted at the building's main entrance under the booking name.

Next to the note, there will be a white key box. The note will explain how to open the key box and enter the building.

The note will also provide all the necessary information about your stay.

Danhostel Horsens / Flinten Horsens operates as a self-service accommodation facility, so staff will generally not be present at reception during your arrival. However, we are always on the property, and you can contact us if needed.


Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must always be made in writing via our email: info@danhostelhorsens.dk.


Free Cancellation
As a new service, we offer free cancellation for all bookings up to 2 hours after the booking is made.


Best Price – Non-Flexible:
This rate can be canceled up to 2 hours after booking. After that, the booking is non-refundable. If the room is booked at this rate, refunds are not possible, and the booking cannot be moved to another date.


Basic Price – Partially Flexible:
Cancellations can be made up to 7 days before arrival. For timely cancellations, the full amount will be refunded, except for a DKK 150 per room administration fee.
For later cancellations, the full amount will be charged. This rate can be moved to another date for an additional fee if necessary.


Worry-Free Price – Flexible:
This rate can be canceled up to 10:00 AM on the day of arrival.
For timely cancellations, the full amount will be refunded, except for a DKK 150 per room administration fee.


Packages

Ordering Packages:
All packages must be ordered by 10:00 AM the day before arrival. They can be ordered through online booking or by contacting us at info@danhostelhorsens.dk.


Cancellation of Packages
Packages can be canceled by 10:00 AM the day before arrival, with a refund of the remaining amount. Cancellations must be made by email to info@danhostelhorsens.dk.


Breakfast
You can order a breakfast roll or breakfast plate through online booking or by email at info@danhostelhorsens.dk. These must be ordered by 10:00 AM the day before.
On dates with large events, we may offer a large breakfast buffet instead. This cannot be booked online and depends on the level of activity. If you have ordered a breakfast roll or plate and a buffet is available, you will be offered an upgrade.


Smoking & Vaping
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in rooms, out of windows, or in common areas. A fee of DKK 2,000 will be charged if smoking is detected in the room or out of a window.


Bed Linen
One set of bed linen per person is included, and guests are responsible for making their beds.

Internet Transactions
Consumers are protected against credit card fraud online. You can read more about secure online payments at www.betaling.dk and www.fdih.dk.


Lost Property
Items left behind will be stored for 14 days after departure. After this period, we cannot guarantee continued storage. Return shipping is subject to a fee of DKK 350 to cover packaging and handling costs. It is the guest's responsibility to inform us of any forgotten items and provide the name and address for delivery. We do not offer international shipping.


Corporate Agreements
We offer favorable corporate agreements. Contact us at info@danhostelhorsens.dk or book directly through our online booking system.

Terms:

-A minimum of 3 single-room overnight stays is required.

-A Danish CVR number and company details are required at booking.

This rate is exclusively for companies with a CVR number. If booked by private individuals, the booking will be canceled without notice, and the payment will be refunded.


Check-in Restrictions and Special Conditions
It is not permitted for individuals with a permanent address in Horsens Municipality to book accommodation at Danhostel Horsens without prior agreement with us.


We reserve the right to refuse any guest at any time. In certain cases, we may require photo identification and a deposit of up to DKK 2,000 upon arrival.



To ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, outside visitors are not allowed on the premises. Only registered guests included in the reservation are permitted to stay and use the facilities.


Shipping and Delivery
Upon booking and payment, a contract will be issued detailing your purchase. This contract can be printed from the website and will be emailed upon successful booking, provided a valid email address was supplied. The purchased service is delivered upon arrival at Danhostel Horsens on the arrival date and concludes at check-out on the departure date as stated in the contract.


Privacy Policy
Danhostel Horsens collects guest information to manage their stay, including name, address, phone number, and email. Data is stored per Danish accounting laws and anonymized or deleted once retention requirements are met.

Guests have the right to access and correct their stored data or request deletion where it does not conflict with legal obligations by contacting info@danhostelhorsens.dk. Complaints can be directed to the Danish Data Protection Agency.


Complaints
If you do not receive your contract after booking and no error message appears, please email us at info@danhostelhorsens.dk.


Complaints about the booking process, booking, or stay must be submitted within a reasonable time after discovery. Written complaints are accepted post-stay, but we encourage in-person feedback during your stay for immediate resolution. Complaints may result in a refund, replacement, or price reduction, as deemed appropriate. Complaints are valid for up to one year from the stay, unless otherwise agreed.
